A jump performed off of a vertical surface to propel the player higher in the opposite direction. Wall jumps can be done between two tight walls in quick succession to climb vertically in some games, though some games such as Mega Man X allow you to continuously jump on a single wall. As a special jump, it is sometimes an acquired skill instead of available from the game’s start.
