Initial Coin Offering (ICO)

ICO is a crowdfunding or fundraising system used by crypto startups to generate funding or capital for projects.

When a project is launched on an ICO, it will start by uploading its whitepaper and informing the public of the detailed roadmap, the amount of tokens that will be minted and distributed. Once an investor is eligible to participate, they are given the project’s tokens at a reduced price.

However, since ICO does not come with the ability to verify projects, this platform has been used to swindle crypto investors.
