Heatmap

An analytical tool used to show what a user is looking at within a VR experience, graphical interface etc., It uses a system of color-coding, usually ranging from red (“hot”) to blue or green (“cold”), to create a graphical representation of the focus of the user’s attention. In the context of websites, heatmaps identify areas of interest by measuring cursor movement or clicks, while heatmaps in VR usually map the patterns of the user’s gaze.
